Friends, how would you like to have a medicine that heals every kind of disease or sickness known to mankind? Well, you don't have to wish. The Bible clearly states in Proverbs 4:20-22 that God's Words are like medicine (not just for the soul, but) for the "flesh". The writer of this proverb says: “[20] My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. [21] Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. [22] For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.” - KJV. This word instructs us to 1) pay attention to God's Word, 2) listen closely to what He has to say, 3) keep His Word (the Bible) in front of our eyes - read it daily, and 4) keep His Words in the middle of our hearts. If we do those four things God's promise to us is that they (His Words) will be life and health to our FLESH! (our body). To me this means that His Words are not only medicine for when we get sick, but they are also like daily vitamins to keep us from getting sick. In the Bible there are many passages that describe Jesus and the apostles speaking words of healing, and the sick, lame, deaf and dumb were healed instantly. The words of the apostles and of Jesus even raised the dead! We should not be surprised that God's Word can also heal us and give us long life. The Bible says in Psalm 107:20 “He sent His Word and healed them…” - KJV

His (God's) Words are just like medicine prescribed by a doctor; we must be take His Word internally for it to have an affect and to cure us. How does one "take" the Word of God? By putting it our mouth. Proverbs 12:18 says “…the tongue of the wise is health.” - KJV; Proverbs 18:21 says “Death and life are in the power of the tongue…” - KJV. We must daily partake of God's Word as we would a prescription medicine from our doctor. Find the healing scriptures that mean something special to you, and confess them daily. For instance, Psalm 103:2, 3 says “[2] Bless the Lord O my soul, and forget not all his benefits; [3] who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases.” - KJV. If your doctor has given you a bad report, begin to confess that scripture (and other healing scriptures) daily as medicine for your body. Don't be afraid of the doctor's diagnosis. Psalm 112:7 says "They will have no fear of bad news; their hearts are steadfast, trusting in the LORD." Say aloud "I will not die but live, and will proclaim what the LORD has done" (Psalm 118:17. If you are a believer, you can take God's medicine (His WORD) every day, and you will be healed, and live in divine health until you are satisfied with the length of your life ("With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation." Psalm 91:16).
