Text: 3 John 1,2 KJV

Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. 

 

Dear Friends and brothers and sisters in Christ,

This Scripture tells us that God not only wants us to prosper financially, but He also desires that we prosper physically, being healthy and free from sickness and disease. In fact, The Lord cares so much about the condition of these "earthly tabernacles" (of the flesh) that He Himself  went to Calvary, and took the stripes on His body in order that we might be healed. (I Peter 2: 24 -- "Who his own self bear our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.") We must claim and walk in what is rightfully ours and what Jesus Christ has already paid the price for. After all, Doesn't the Savior deserve to get what He has paid for? Confess the Word of God daily for your health and healing. Do not tolerate anything less than a fully functioning and healthy body.

Remember, however, that we must work with God in the area of physical health by doing our part as good stewards of what God has entrusted to us. We are the temple of God's Holy Spirit. Care for God's temple diligently by proper diet, nutrition, exercise and rest. Then, you will prosper and be in good health, even as your soul prospers.
